The steps of getting sick

Deficiency

A ‘deficiency’ constitution is characterized by feelings of fatigue, exhaustion, drowsiness, and lack of energy. Prolonged deficiency leads to ‘cold’.

Cold

A “cold” constitution is characterized by sensitivity to cold, fear of air conditioning, and a cold sensation when sleeping at night. Prolonged coldness leads to “dampness”.

Dampness

Someone with a heavy “dampness” constitution, for example, feels uncomfortable, similar to wearing wet clothes on a rainy day. Prolonged dampness leads to “stagnation”.

Stagnation

“Stagnation” indicates slow blood circulation and metabolism, resulting in acidification and pain in the body. Prolonged stagnation leads to “accumulation”.

Blood stasis

“Blood stasis” over time leads to blockages, resulting in acidic pain, numbness, and swelling throughout the body. In the detoxification process, points are black or purple everywhere; this is known as ‘obstruction’.

Obstruction

Long-term ‘obstruction’ leads to illness, but every person develops illness differently. This is a quantitative change towards a qualitative change, ultimately leading to ‘nodules’.

Nodules

A ‘nodule’ is an accumulation of excess and prolonged blockages in the body, affecting normal bodily functions.

Cancer

‘Cancer’ is essentially an upgrade from a ‘nodule’, where the nodules proliferate everywhere, posing a challenge to the individual’s life limit.
